Well, if you read the previous post about Emily and me taking a fun Mother/Daughter trip to Hollywood and engaging in a little 1/2 day side trip to "The Price is Right", you'll know we had fun, especially when Emily was called to "Come on Down!" It is a frantic, loud and boisterous time there where the cheering is louder than George, the announcer who stood on a platform right above us. (There is no audio in the audience, hence the number of people who always say, "What did they bid?" ) Well, she was chosen to play the Switch game, and with a little of Mom's help, she won 2 lovely cameras with lots of memory cards and accessories, an assortment of Marc Jacobs purses and shoes, PLUS a 60 inch Ultra HD Smart TV. (Who would have thought she would be called, no less in the first round!) She was able to spin the very HEAVY wheel, chat with Drew, who was charming as we see on TV, and she would have won the spin had it not been for a sweet little lady who didn't win her game, but got a dollar in her spin. All in all, she won about $9,000 in prizes in one afternoon. Yes, she paid her taxes on them!
