2. "Rejoice, He is Alive!" Words and music by Jean Anne Shafferman, arranged by Patti Drennan, and orchestration by Larry Shackley. This is a lively, rhythmic anthem for Easter, Eastertide and Ascension and incorporates a final verse of "Rejoice Ye Pure in Heart. 3. "Come With Me"- An incredibly moving song that depicts Jesus as He beckons us to "come, leave the multitude, come to a place of solitude. Come, watch and pray, for soon I go; but I will leave my spirit to guide and comfort you, and I will come again." Powerful weaving of Patti Drennan's music and J. Paul Williams' text. Impressive! 4. "He Chose to Die"- A hauntingly beautiful song that moves from minor to major keys to symbolize hope for us, then returns to the minor key depicting His cruel death. Beautiful tone painting that allows the listener to experience the Crucifixion scene. A cello obbligato part is crucial for the overall presentation. Outstanding! SATB, Shawnee Press.

5. "With a Voice of Joy"- With a great text by J. Paul Williams, this driving energetic song is a must-sing for your choir! The first 7 measures can be used as a Call to Worship into any hymn in G major, too! Contrapuntal voice writing at the end gives your choir and congregation a true sense of worship! 6. "For Unto Us A Child is Born"- This is absolutely gorgeous! A stunningly sweet and lovely setting of Isaiah 9:6 is dramatically paired with a later verse, "Now the wolf will dwell with the lamb." This warm and expressive text is deeply enhanced by the eloquent melody and lush harmonies, as the gentle piano accompaniment brings this outstanding selection for late Advent and Christmas Eve together. 7. "A Jubilant Thanksgiving"-Written with Jean Anne Shafferman, this is a dynamic new anthem for harvest or Thanksgiving! With text inspired by the psalms, the lively, syncopated melody incorporates references to "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come." 10. "In the Garden"- You can't miss with this beautiful, hymn! New life has been breathed into this all-time favorite. It has a fresh harmonic treatment, accessible choral writing, and an expressive accompaniment. If you have a cellist, the optional obbligato will add a lovely, delicate touch to this marvelous piece. 13. "Praise My Soul, the King of Heaven"-The text of Henry F. Lyte has been merged within the traditional hymn tune "Beach Spring" to create a beautiful, reflective anthem that blossoms in rich "Alleluia! Alleluia!
